Child and Youth Worker at YMCA

Empower young lives at the YMCA of Lethbridge as a Child and Youth Worker. This part-time role focuses on supporting various youth programs, ensuring safety, and providing exceptional service.

As a Child and Youth Worker, you will implement engaging programs that promote child development while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Your responsibility includes overseeing childminding, indoor play, and community events, requiring flexible availability for shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure participants follow safety guidelines throughout programs

• Implement recreational and social development activities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas

• Support community events and youth programming initiatives

• Assist in administrative tasks when necessary

Requirements:

• Current Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C certification

• Experience in child and youth or recreation programs

• Acceptable Police Information Check and Child Intervention Check

• Three professional references required

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
