Starting from November 16, 2020, for approximately 19 weeks, this position allows interns to work closely with the Collection Technician. Tasks include cataloguing artifacts, managing databases, and conducting studio photography. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality artifact care during their tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Catalog new museum acquisitions efficiently
• Handle artifacts with a focus on preservation
• Enter detailed data into the museum’s database
• Photograph objects in an in-house studio
• Assist in volunteer engagement and training
Requirements:
• Degree in humanities, social sciences, or art
• Proven research and database management skills
• Familiarity with museum practices required
• Strong writing capabilities and attention to detail
• Experience in photography considered an asset
