Be a key player in the Municipal District of Taber as a Finance Clerk. This permanent, full-time, in-office position emphasizes accounting support, prioritization, and strong service orientation toward stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Finance, you will execute clerical and accounting responsibilities crucial for smooth municipal operations. The role encompasses both independent work and collaboration, ensuring effective service delivery. Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail will be key in addressing your daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly utility billing and manage related data

• Assist rate payers with transactions like property taxes

• Process journal entries to adjust the general ledger

• Maintain financial records and user accounts accurately

• Support the Finance team with additional duties as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma; accounting certificate preferred

• Relevant experience in business administration and accounting

• Familiarity with accounting software and principles
