Cultural Youth Support Worker Position

Help youth thrive with a meaningful role as a Cultural Youth Support Worker in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. This position requires compassion, organizational skills, and an understanding of the Woodland Cree Culture.

The Youth Support Program is part of LLRIB Health Services and focuses on assisting children and youth develop essential life and social skills. In this role, you will support individual guidance and connect youth to community resources while collaborating with Cultural staff and health care professionals. Your contributions will foster community engagement and promote healthy lifestyles among First Nations youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raise awareness of First Nations youth issues

• Develop community-based initiatives and events

• Facilitate grief workshops with Cultural teams

• Inspire youth participation in community discussions

• Attend required meetings and trainings

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or relevant experience

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Experience in group facilitation and public speaking

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
