Position: Volunteer Client Advocate Role
Contribute to the Interfaith Food Bank as a Client Advocate, providing vital support to those facing food insecurity. This role requires strong communication and community engagement skills.

In this volunteer position, you will collaborate with the Client Advocacy Coordinator to assist vulnerable community members, including children and families. Your responsibilities will include navigating applications and providing thorough referrals to local resources while maintaining necessary documentation. Understanding the challenges clients face will be crucial in offering compassionate support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid clients in applying for food assistance and navigating systems

• Provide effective referrals to local community resources

• Conduct follow-ups to track client progress and needs

• Support coordination of community empowerment initiatives

• Execute administrative tasks to uphold client file integrity

Requirements:

• Familiarity with social services and vulnerable groups

• High attention to detail and effective listening abilities

• Intermediate computer skills for documentation and referrals

• Must complete onboarding and trial shift successfully

• Ideal commitment of at least four months
