Commercial Account Executive

As a Commercial Account Executive, you will promote HUB’s full suite of insurance products and services, building and managing a portfolio of commercial clients across all lines of coverage.

• Effectively manage customer expectations
• Answer telephones and assist clients with coverage questions
• Communicate with company personnel regarding client needs and problems
• Understand agency rating systems and company rating systems and websites
• Negotiate with underwriters on rates and coverage
• Follow‑up on requested changes, renewals, etc., with insurance companies
• Review and analyze claims and discuss them with clients
• Explain coverage to clients
• Follow up on accounts receivable
• Prepare new business and renewal sales presentations
• Close deals, upsell, and cross‑sell
• Prospect for new business, typically $20,000 to $100,000 in premiums
• Prepare marketing submissions, proposals, and insurance summaries
• Check accuracy of policies, endorsements, audits, etc., received from insurance companies
• Issue certificates of insurance and motor vehicle liability slips
• Review payments
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required

• Level 2 General Insurance License
• Driven to achieve sales results
• Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
• Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance

• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

The compensation for this position is a variable structure, consisting of a discretionary draw plus commission. Total earnings will vary based on book of business, experience, location, and business line.
