Experienced Roller Operator

Become an essential part of Volker Stevin as a Roller Operator in Lethbridge or Ft. McMurray. Utilize your expertise in operating breakdown, rubber tire, and finish rollers for optimal asphalt paving.

In this role, you will report to the Paving Foreman and ensure the safe operation of multiple types of rollers for asphalt projects. You will engage in equipment maintenance and perform various compaction techniques to achieve quality results. Travel between locations in Alberta will be required, and the company covers travel costs for work-related trips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate breakdown, rubber tire, and finish rollers safely

• Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on machinery

• Execute overlapping passes for asphalt compaction

• Adjust roller settings based on material requirements

• Train new team members on equipment operation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3+ years experience in roller operation

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract

• Heavy Civil Construction experience is preferred

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
