Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic

Advance your mechanical career as a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician with SMS Equipment in the Lethbridge area. This on-site position allows for independent work, supported by a service truck.
As a field technician, you'll engage in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining some of the most sophisticated equipment available. This role emphasizes a strong safety focus and the ability to handle demanding environments. Supporting the largest Komatsu dealer in North America contributes to the quality and reliability of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment

• Diagnose malfunctions effectively with diagnostic equipment

• Recommend repairs and improvement strategies

• Interpret and follow technical documentation

• Complete all necessary reporting and paperwork
Requirements:

• Certification as a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician

• Strong work ethic with minimal supervision required

• Experience with heavy machinery repair, Komatsu experience beneficial

• Valid Class 5/G driver's license necessary

• Competent communication skills for client interaction
