At Rigpoint, operating the crane is only part of the job. When you are out of the cab, you will be rigging, loading, helping the crew and doing what is needed to finish the job safely and properly.

• Journeyperson Crane Operator or registered apprentice
• Dependable, punctual and ready to work
• Humble, professional and respectful
• Calm and capable when plans change or pressure builds

• Comfortable getting out of the cab and completing hands-on work
• Able to work independently without losing sight of the team
• Committed to safe work—not simply checking boxes
• Willing to take ownership of mistakes and help find practical solutions
• Available for overtime, weekends and extended shifts when the work requires it
• Proud of keeping equipment, vehicles and worksites clean and properly maintained

• Inspecting, setting up and safely operating crane equipment
• Completing daily equipment inspections, FLHAs, logbooks and required documentation
• Rigging, lifting, moving and placing loads safely and efficiently
• Confirming load information, crane configuration and site conditions before lifting
• Recognizing hazards and following company, customer and worksite safety requirements
• Communicating clearly with riggers, signallers, supervisors, customers and other trades
• Assisting with rigging, loading, unloading, cleanup and general site duties
• Caring for company equipment, tools and vehicles as though they were your own
• Stepping in wherever needed to help the crew safely finish the job
• Representing Rigpoint with professionalism at every worksite

You do not need to know everything on your first day. You do need to be willing to listen, learn and put in an honest day’s work.

Applicants must:

• Live within the Coaldale, Lethbridge or Taber area—or be prepared to relocate to this area before beginning employment
• Hold and maintain a valid driver’s licence and be approved as an authorized driver under the Company’s insurance policy.
• Have reliable transportation to report to work and assigned locations

These requirements are necessary due to changing schedules, early starts, emergency calls and the locations of our work.

Schedule:

Full-time; overtime, weekends and extended hours may be required

Location:

Shop location, Coaldale.
