South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Counselor to join our Levelland team. We are looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is committed to providing quality behavioral health services in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Assess clients' counseling and behavioral health needs

• Establish treatment goals and objectives

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide counseling interventions to help clients achieve their goals

• Document client assessments, services, and progress

• Make referrals to other services and community resources as needed

• Follow established behavioral health protocols and documentation requirements

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinic staff to provide comprehensive care

• Protect the confidentiality and security of client information

• Maintain applicable state licensure and continuing education requirements

• Participate in performance improvement and community outreach activities

What You'll Bring

• Current Texas license as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

• Knowledge of behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and medical record documentation

• Familiarity with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders

• Familiarity with evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions

• Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations

• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

• Mental health experience preferred
