Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a short-term acute care hospital.

The L&D RN will provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-volume unit, managing routine and high-risk deliveries while working independently when needed.

• 3x12 Night Shifts
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed weekly
• Weekends required (6 weekend shifts per schedule)
• No call required
• 13-week contract

48-hour schedules may be approved.

• Short Term Acute Care Facility
• 31 Staffed Beds
• Level IV Trauma Center
• 200–300 births per month
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Free parking

Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities based on need.

• Provide direct care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal status
• Circulate and recover C-sections
• Assist with high-risk deliveries
• Administer and manage Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives, and anticoagulation therapy
• Maintain and manage central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Perform sterile vaginal exams
• Utilize IUPC placement and calibration
• Support transition nursing and mom/baby care as needed
• Collaborate with OB providers and interdisciplinary team

• Active RN license (Compact license required at submission if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Must be able to work independently
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

• Travelers must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• 50-mile local radius rule applies
• Orientation and pre-start modules required

Must have strong independent L&D experience including circulating and recovering C-sections, high-risk antepartum, and fetal monitoring. Please confirm start date availability, holiday commitment, and requested time off prior to submission.
