Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and strong L&D background.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Labor and Delivery unit at a short-term acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Weekend work required with six weekend shifts per schedule
- Floating may be required between units or facilities as needed
- Unit serves Labor & Delivery with preference for experience in mom/baby or transition nursing
- EMR system used is Epic; prior Epic experience required
- Must provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Expected to float per unit or facility needs according to the employer's policies
- No on-call responsibilities are required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Mandatory minimal to no RTO; excessive RTO may affect consideration
- Candidates who were previously employed in a permanent role must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
- Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
- BLS and other required certifications must be current and submitted for consideration
- Ability to work independently in the Labor and Delivery unit
- At least two supervisory references covering one year of employment in the specialty within the past three years
- SSN and Date of Birth required for consideration
