What

You'll Do:
  • Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime. Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment/area, including mechanical cleaning, lubrication, rebuild, installation and removal.
  • Assist in layout, assembly and installation of piping and pumps associated with production, including installation, repair and replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment as instructed.
  • Operate, adjust, troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical systems on equipment such as shakers, gravities, screw conveyors, elevators, dry ingredient fillers, conveyors, code‑dater printers, palletizer robots, etc.
  • Assist in repair and maintenance of physical structure and utilities as instructed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment at all times.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to LOTO, confined space, hot work and forklift operation.
  • Complete all assigned work orders within the allotted time. Maintain complete records of work performed using SAP, work orders and detailed logs and communicate effectively across all groups and departments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, providing suggestions to improve processes and participating in team projects.
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Three or more years of experience preferred as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment or chemical/processing plant.
  • Two or more years of welding/fabrication experience and ability to submit a welding sample if requested.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use mechanical tools to ensure safety and completion of tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to lift 50–80 lbs., perform highly repetitive motions, stand for eight plus hours, talk and hear.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairways, use a manlift or scissor lift at ceiling heights or above with proper safety equipment and work in a non‑air‑conditioned environment.
  • Ability and willingness to wear a full‑face respirator.
  • Ability and willingness to wear fall protection equipment.
  • While performing job duties, the associate will frequently walk, use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. Frequent exposure to oils and greases or coolants.
  • While performing job duties, the associate will occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat and vibration.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
