Schedule: 12 months (sub)
Pay Rate: $27.75

Assists with the administration of the English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes, which include students coming to earn their high school equivalency diploma (GED). Assessment will be one phase of this job. It will also include other duties as assigned to maintain efficiency in the programs.

• Greet adult students and visitors to the building and manage entrance door
• Determine appropriate pre- and post-assessments for adult students, administer, score and record results
• Assign contact hours and classes to adult students based on assessment results
• Assist the ABE Coordinator with program communication and providing daily structure for a successful program
• Order supplies for the program
• Support teachers by generating reports as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrating cultural and linguistic responsiveness
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and be flexible
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with spreadsheets
• Team player not afraid to do the small things as well as the big things
• Experience in Adult Basic Education
• Qualified to administer Pearson tests, or willingness to become qualified
• Experience with software such as MABE
