Financial Reporting, Financial Controller, Cost Accountant
A growing manufacturing organization in the Bristol, PA area is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and having a direct impact on plant performance.
The role will support two U.S. manufacturing sites operating under a consolidated financial structure and report directly to the CFO. The organization is continuing to grow and is looking for a hands-on finance leader who can help strengthen accounting processes, reporting, controls, and cost accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical plant accounting and internal controls for two manufacturing sites
- Oversee balance sheet and P&L preparation, including monthly performance analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Oversee cost accounting processes and manufacturing variance analysis
- Partner with plant and operations leadership to identify cost-saving and operational improvement opportunities
- Collaborate on inventory, fixed asset, expense, and cost controls
- Support the design, implementation, testing, and go-live of finance and accounting systems
- Work closely with operations and plant leadership on expenditures and financial performance
- Coordinate with external tax and audit partners
- Promote a culture focused on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing a multi-site general ledger
- Manufacturing finance/accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA or other cloud-based ERP systems preferred - CPA license or public accounting experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive financial information
- Ability to work independently and partner effectively with operations
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Primarily onsite, with potential flexibility for a hybrid schedule
