The Bristol Township School District is seeking a dedicated Head Girls Field Hockey Coach to lead the varsity and junior varsity girls field hockey programs. The coach will interact with students, parents, and community stakeholders while fostering a supportive and safe athletic environment. This position emphasizes academic success, character development, and athletic excellence.

• The Varsity Field Hockey Coach provides leadership for the varsity and JV girls field hockey programs, including participant and community relations, instruction, safety oversight, supervision of instructors and volunteers, budgeting, assistance with scheduling, attendance at coaching clinics, rule interpretation meetings, league meetings, and report preparation such as early dismissal times, team rosters, and end‑of‑season reports.
• The position is directly responsible for the operations of a high school competitive program and works with the Athletic Director to ensure the success of our student‑athletes.
• The coach must have knowledge of the PIAA rules and fundamentals of the sport, be willing to work with secondary students, and serve as an exemplary role model for athletes, the school, the community, and the district.

• Desire to work with student‑athletes; enthusiastic, patient, organized, mature, dependable, and responsible.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to recruit staff and assistants for the program.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• ACT 34 Criminal History Background Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance from the State of Pennsylvania, and an FBI Background Check are required.
• Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation, and, at season’s end, analyzes staff effectiveness and evaluates all assistants.
• Serves as a mentor to each athlete, promoting the development and demonstration of character traits such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
