Instructional Assistants School Year - TBD Job Description
Job Summary: To work under the direction of a certificated staff member to support and assist in providing instructional programs and services to students with disabilities in order to provide them with the help and support needed to benefit from their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Services may be provided in a special education class, regular education class, or other instructional setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to students with special needs.
- Assist in the implementation of IEPs.
- Support classroom activities and instructional planning.
- Collaborate with certificated teachers and paraprofessional colleagues.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Highly Qualified as defined by federal standards: either two completed years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s (or higher) degree, or PDE Highly Qualified certification (Para educator Credential of Competency).
- CPR and First Aid certifications required; training can be provided.
