Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership & School Culture: Provide strategic leadership that supports the mission, vision, and values of Life Works Day School. Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture. Promote high expectations for academic performance, behavior, and professional excellence. Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Instructional Leadership: Lead curriculum implementation and instructional improvement efforts. Monitor student achievement data and develop strategies to improve academic outcomes. Support teachers through coaching, observation, feedback, and professional development. Ensure instructional practices meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Student Support & Behavioral Programming: Oversee programs that address students' academic, behavioral, and counseling needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized student supports. Ensure compliance with applicable educational regulations, policies, and student service requirements. Promote restorative and proactive approaches to student behavior and engagement.
- Staff Development & Management: Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and support faculty and staff. Cultivate a collaborative professional learning environment. Lead staff meetings, professional development initiatives, and performance management processes. Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Operations & Compliance: Manage daily school operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment. Ensure compliance with state, local, and organizational policies and procedures. Oversee school budgets, resources, and operational planning. Maintain accurate records and reporting requirements.
- Family & Community Engagement: Serve as a visible and accessible leader within the school community. Develop strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and community organizations. Communicate effectively regarding school initiatives, student progress, and school events. Advocate for the needs and success of students and families.

Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, School Administration, or a related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Minimum of five years of educational leadership experience, preferably in a special education, alternative education, therapeutic, or non-public school setting.
