TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
TYPE: Direct Hire
LOCATION: Fairless Hills, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead and implement improvements aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in our operations. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain streamlined manufacturing processes to support our fabrication and assembly tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to evaluate product designs for manufacturability and potential enhancements.
- Assess existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity, safety, and cost reduction.
- Create and document standard operating procedures that enhance work efficiency.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish baseline production standards as needed.
- Stay updated on current and emerging technologies and manufacturing practices to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Address production floor challenges promptly and effectively.
- Spearhead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across all production areas as suitable.
- Design manufacturing fixtures to optimize workflows and processes.
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
- 6-8 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is essential.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with various fabrication manufacturing processes and equipment, including MIG Welding, Plasma/Waterjet cutting, Press Brakes, Saws, Power Rollers, Lathes, and other essential shop tools.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Inventor Vault is a plus. Similar software experience will be considered.
- Experience programming basic CNC machines, including milling machines and lathes is a plus.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating technical blueprints.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MRP software and systems is beneficial.
- Willingness to mentor and train others.
