Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Presorter for Shift 1 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing metered mail by ensuring accuracy in dates, postage, and barcode quality. This position plays a critical part in maintaining smooth production flow by identifying errors, communicating effectively with team members, and assisting with basic equipment troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review outgoing mail for correct dates and accurate postage
• Verify barcode quality to ensure proper scanning and delivery
• Identify and report errors or discrepancies in mail processing
• Assist with troubleshooting minor equipment or process issues
• Maintain production standards and workflow efficiency
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for up to 80% of the shift
• Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment

PPE Requirements:

• Must wear required PPE as assigned (e.g., safety shoes, gloves, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of English for safety and operational instructions
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, often on short notice
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous mailroom or production experience is a plus
• Familiarity with mailing systems or barcode scanning is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and responsibilities
