Under the direction of the Operations Director and Medical Director, this individual performs designated and other assigned clerical and administrative duties.
ResponsibilitiesReceive calls from physicians' offices, hospital staff, patients and other customers. Provide assistance on routine requests and inquiries and refer calls as appropriate. Provide typed records, memorandums, meeting minutes, statistical data and reports within established deadlines, and assure confidentiality of files and related matters. Coordinate administrative and staff meetings, conference calls and program events. Administratively support and participate as a member of the Hospitalist team.
Type and assist in maintaining policy and procedure manuals and other applicable manuals as necessary. Photocopy and distribute required documents. Perform secretarial/clerical functions as needed, including use of computer for data processing and typing. Use fax machine, copier and other office equipment. Order clerical supplies in accordance with established procedure. Assist in care and maintenance of equipment; report malfunction and/or need for repairs to the supervisor.
Open and distribute mail. Run errands necessary for effective operation of department. Participate in department billing, reimbursement, insurance management protocols and filing requirements. Maintain established medical center policies, procedures and objectives for quality assurance, safety and infection control. Maintain schedules within Perfect Serve and complete provider payroll. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance with patients, customers and co-workers.

- One year medical or hospital office experience
- Excellent computer skills and entry level experience with information system technology
- Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Knowledge of office equipment
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of basic computer programs
- Ability to keep confidential information regarding patients, team members
- Ability to withstand crisis situations
- Has skills to provide customer service to patients, team members and visitors
- Experience with Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc.
- High school graduate or equivalent
USD $22.75/Hr. Max USD $35.26/Hr.
