Excelcare at Lewes is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to support the successful onboarding of newly hired employees across our skilled nursing facilities. This role serves as a key liaison between candidates, facility leadership, and corporate teams to ensure a smooth and positive transition from offer acceptance through the first day of employment.
This is a non-HR position focused on onboarding coordination, compliance, communication, and new hire support. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-service oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance through their first day of employment.
- Ensure all required pre-employment documentation, licenses, certifications, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate regularly with candidates, facility leadership, and corporate departments to provide updates and support throughout the onboarding process.
- Schedule pre-employment appointments, orientations, and start dates while maintaining onboarding timelines.
- Monitor onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items to ensure a seamless hiring experience.
- Assist with onboarding audits and maintain accurate electronic records and employee files.
- Provide exceptional customer service to new hires by answering questions and guiding them through the onboarding process.
- Partner with recruiters and facility teams to support staffing goals and ensure a positive new employee experience.
- Previous experience in onboarding, recruiting coordination, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
