Excelcare at Lewes is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our leadership team in our skilled nursing facility. The Unit Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong support for nursing staff. This position is ideal for an LPN who is passionate about leadership, teamwork, and providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

RN Unit Manager Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit
  • Supervise, support, and mentor LPNs and CNAs on the unit
  • Ensure residents receive high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans and physician orders
  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Complete and review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with other departments to support resident needs
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Address staff concerns and help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
RN Unit Manager Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in DE
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
