- Provide leadership and direction for nursing staff in assigned departments, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management to foster a high‑performing and compassionate team.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state and federal regulations), maintaining a high level of quality and safety in patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators, identifying trends, and implementing evidence‑based practices to improve care and reduce adverse events.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, social workers, therapists, etc.) to coordinate patient care and resolve complex clinical issues.
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation within nursing departments, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources to meet patient care needs.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives by leading quality assurance programs, patient safety initiatives, and process optimization projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, nursing interventions, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital requirements.
- Foster a culture of patient safety, advocating for patient‑centered care and promoting best practices in infection control, pain management, and clinical protocols.
- Address and resolve patient complaints or concerns, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of clinical experience and at least 1 year as an RN Director/Manager.
- Current BLS certification.
- Eligible for State licensure.
- Additional certifications may be required (BLS, ACLS, NIH).
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift with proper body mechanics.
