Deputy Room Leader – Early Years | Up to £31,000 | Level 3 Qualified

Skills & Qualifications We’re Looking For- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Experience in a nursery or early years education setting.
- Confident understanding of safeguarding, EYFS, and inclusive practice.
- Enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning through play.
- Warm communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to day‑to‑day routines.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Room Leader in the daily running of a busy Early Years room.
- Acting as a role model for best practice in childcare, safeguarding, and play‑based learning.
- Leading activities that boost children’s development across EYFS areas.
- Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
- Ensuring the room environment is engaging, inclusive, and well organised.
- Coaching team members and offering guidance where needed.
- Maintaining accurate records, observations, and reports.
- Helping create a safe, nurturing space where every child can thrive.
