Local applicants within reasonable commuting distance of Lewiston only.

Travel required for regional projects throughout Idaho, Washington, and Oregon (projects may last up to 10 consecutive days when necessary).

Full-Time, Hourly

Pay $40.00 per hour.

Company-paid lodging and per diem provided for occasional overnight projects, if required.

Sines Construction is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver / Laborer to support railroad construction, maintenance, and repair projects throughout Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands‑on labor support on active railroad and construction job sites. Travel, including overnight assignments, is required depending on project location.

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations
• Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites
• Support dump and pup truck operations
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain required DOT logs and documentation
• Report maintenance concerns promptly
• Assist with railroad construction, maintenance, and repair projects
• Support track‑related work, crane rail environments, and thermit welding preparation
• Assist with crossing projects including asphalt, concrete, and plastic crossings
• Support asphalt paving, seal coating, and striping operations
• Load, unload, and secure materials and equipment
• Assist with site setup and cleanup
• Follow all company safety policies, railroad safety requirements, and job‑site safety rules

• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test
• Willingness to travel, including overnight assignments
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor and railroad environments
• Strong safety awareness and reliability

• Prior railroad, construction, or heavy labor experience
• Experience operating dump and pup trucks
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment

• Outdoor construction and railroad environments with varying weather conditions
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
• Physically demanding work requiring stamina and strong safety awareness
