LC State invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $49,743 - $53,000

Degree Required

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, computer science, business, data analysis, or a related field.

Required Qualifications

  • Attention to detail, ability to establish priorities, and meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education, computer science, business, data analysis, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Experience in data analytics.
  • Experience working with K-12 education and placing students in a higher education setting.
  • Familiarity with Idaho State Department of Education endorsement/certification requirements.
  • Familiarity with Lewis-Clark State College education program requirements.
  • Experience in using academic data to impact instruction and school systems thinking and planning.
Responsibilities
  • Work in collaboration with Education Faculty to develop and refine the Teacher Education Programs, including identification, clarification, implementation, and evaluation of program vision and of long- and short-term program goals and objectives.
  • Review the records of students to determine eligibility to enroll in the Teacher Preparation Programs.
  • Coordinate the production, revision, and distribution of necessary materials including program overviews, instructions, correspondence with students and cooperating teachers, student and cooperating teacher evaluation forms, proposals, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate the senior-year internship experience for education candidates in collaboration with faculty.
  • Schedule and implement pre-intern orientation every semester.
  • Help in the identification of necessary budget items related to the Teacher Preparation Programs.
  • Schedule two meetings per year for the Education Advisory Committee(s).
  • Collaborate with TEAM faculty to set program dates, provide access to workshops such as fingerprinting and job interviews.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with CAEP and state requirements for program accreditation and approval.
  • Collect, prepare and oversee data for the division
  • Prepare annual program assessment reports for the LC State campus.
  • Collect, organize, and prepare program data for review by faculty.
  • Monitor, maintain, and coordinate the data collection process.
  • Review assessment data with faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for local, state, and national accreditation.
  • Develop and maintain historical student and school data files to monitor and track performance.
  • Compiles data from multiple assessments to recommend action to faculty for continuous improvement.
  • Work with faculty and staff, as needed, in one-on-one and group settings to discuss use of data to improve student/program results.
  • Ensures the validity of all data presented to staff.
  • Attends, and leads as appropriate, training sessions and site meetings related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist with division events, including but not limited to new student orientation, new student & transfer fairs, TEP interview days, and certification paperwork days.
  • Prepare the annual Title II report.
  • Compile Praxis pass rate data for annual Unit Assessment Reports.
  • Coordinate and process field experiences at all levels. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • creating digital contracts (e.g. MOUs, OSTE forms, mentor forms),
    • coordinating placement requests,
    • maintaining databases.
    • obtaining public school schedules.
    • contacting students regarding placement changes.
    • working with faculty, staff, and schools to fulfill all field experience requests.
  • Process assignment changes
    • Provide written notification of all changes to mentor teachers, principals, superintendents, students, and university supervisors as needed.
