Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of experts to solve unique engineering problems.
- Engage in hands‑on fieldwork, technical document preparation, and application of engineering codes and standards.
- Perform structural engineering work for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
- Lead successful delivery of high-quality structural engineering projects within budget and on schedule.
- Perform complex structural engineering computations using conventional structural engineering design software, codes, procedures, practices, and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive structural engineering documents including technical reports, studies, plans, and specifications.
- Collaborate structural engineering work with other project participants and stakeholders.
- Direct and supervise the work of other engineers, technicians, and drafters.
- Actively participate in project meetings and resolve project issues.
- Assist in proposal preparation, project scoping, and estimating project costs.
- Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
- Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in computer-assisted structural engineering (i.e. STAAD.Pro, SAP
2000, LPILE, APILE GROUP, Autocad, etc.). - Proficiency in the use of Mathcad, Blockpad, or similar software.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and maximum efficiency in a small or medium-size office setting.
- Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil, with a focus in structural engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant structural design experience in the structural engineering field working with concrete, steel, and timber materials.
- Experience in designing bridges, marine waterfronts, industrial structures, and temporary construction works, including demolition plans, erection plans, shoring, cofferdams, and concrete formwork.
