OverviewWashington Trust Bank is looking for a dynamic candidate to join our Small Business Banking team. Our Relationship Manager position offers an opportunity to develop and maintain client relationships, becoming a trusted business partner to our North Puget Sound, Bellingham market. The team is experienced, equipped and empowered to provide the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities- Proactively investigate opportunities and take applications to book loans.
- Use trust and respect to deepen customer relationships.
- Maintain personal accountability toward the team’s and branch’s goals.
- Collaborate with managers and team members on the bank’s sales strategy.
- Participate in community events and take a leadership role in community activities.
- Be fully knowledgeable of WTB’s products and services and provide customer support.
- Establish meaningful relationships with customers and maintain business and financial acumen.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
- General banking knowledge and/or Small Business lending experience with processing control procedures, general ledger and accounting principles, and familiarity with traditional bank policies.
- Experience in fiduciary relationship management, including Small Business Lending.
- Knowledge of Small Business policies, structure, product knowledge and financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of bank products and services.
- Proven analytical skills; ability to review and interpret complex data, determining risk and assessing account complexity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize, and articulate complex ideas to colleagues, team members, and clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse groups, manage conflict, negotiate for results, and develop relationships with potential and current clients.
- High degree of PC technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Required to have or obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator registration number through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).
SBB Relationship Manager II: $66,850 - $100,276 (base salary). The actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Eligible for annual bonus and quarterly incentive compensation.
