The Medical Technologist demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgement, and leadership in the practice of laboratory technology. This role is responsible and accountable for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in the assigned area of licensure. The Medical Technologist practices in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques, and administrative policies.

• Plan and direct laboratory testing efficiently and accurately.
• Practice in accordance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment in laboratory methodologies.
• Provide leadership within the laboratory setting.

• Minimum of 5 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist.
• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (must be included in submission).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must be included in submission).
• Experience in blood bank and MTS gel & tube methods.
• Familiarity with Beckman Coulter hematology (520 and 690), manual differential, body fluid cell count, and diff procedures.
• Experience with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation and urine microscopic procedures.

Shifts will be Wednesday through Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM, working 7 days on and 7 days off.
