Human Resource Business Partner I

• Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and updating LUMA HRIS profiles.
• Research HR topics, produce reports, and present recommendations to management.
• Suggest updates to personnel policies and procedures.
• Review personnel actions and employment activities for compliance with federal, state, and agency rules and policies.
• Track and process FMLA leave requests, leave donations, and service requests.
• Maintain electronic personnel files.
• Administer changes in LUMA HRIS for new hires, transfers, promotions, and pay rate updates.
• Draft and send correspondence as needed.
• Coordinate, conduct, and facilitate employee orientation and other HR trainings.
• Prepare and submit personnel and benefits documents.
• Assist with the First Report of Injury and Workers' Compensation claims.

• Experience in human resource administration.
• Understanding of equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements.
• Ability to interpret, explain, and apply laws, regulations, and policies.
• Experience counseling employees on HR matters.
• Knowledge of employee recruitment methods.
• Experience administering employee benefits programs.
• Understanding of job analysis concepts.
• Familiarity with training methods.
• Data analytics skills.
