Human Resources Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR leadership. This position may carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities
  • 20% Responsible for recruiting assigned positions. Work with the hiring manager to determine whether the position should be filled, identify what qualifications the desired applicants need, post positions in relevant media and screen applicants. Perform initial interviews with applicants and make recommendations to the hiring manager. Coordinate scheduling and perform interviews of applicants with the hiring manager and provide insight in to the hiring decision.

    Perform related pre- and post-offer processes (background checks, references, etc.)
  • 20% Responsible for monthly performance review process, employee transfers, promotions and all talent management activities. Helps to review, create, and updates employee job descriptions, position evaluation, grade recommendations and training checklists.
  • 15% Maintains computerized HR/Payroll system including adding new employees, terminating employees, updating benefit information and position / salary changes, and maintaining any other applicable record keeping files. Record, print and distribute necessary reports as needed. Maintains employee records/documentation and handles all phases of the recruitment and pre-hire process.

    FCU career page, career sites and job ads to improve our ability to attract talent while proactively works to attract passive candidates and build a pipeline of talent. Posts and closes job requisitions and advertises positions on career sites. Assists managers in talent management activities, succession planning and passive recruiting for strategic organizational positions. Manage and attend recruiting events, fairs and community events that promote and grow a pipeline for P1

    FCU candidates.
  • 10% Acts as a generalist proving support, information, and coaching to employees and supervisors on a variety of HR topics including performance management and employee relations topics.
  • 10% Provides back up for all HR functions including Benefits and Payroll administration.
  • 10% Special project and objectives related to organizational priorities and employee health and wellbeing.
  • 5% Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to employment regulations, Labor and Industry regulations, Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills Experience

Human Resources experience desired. Banking and/or Accounting related experience preferred. Previous customer service and clerical experience required. Good overall knowledge of Human Resources, especially the legal aspects, are effectively used and administered in the industry.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Interpersonal Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with people both verbally and in writing (listens and understands problems and assist staff) at all levels as needed.

Other Skills

Must be familiar with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and other federal, state employment laws. Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to arising problems. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; word, excel, power point, etc. and comfort with using data base programs.
