- Undergraduate SAQA recognised qualification Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or
B. Proc degree - Admitted as an attorney or an advocate
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification legal experience of which at least 3 years of experience at a middle level
- Previous experience in the position of an attorney, advocate or legal advisor preferred
- Experience in a government entity or corporate preferred
- Experience in providing legal advice on the regulatory frameworks applicable to government entities preferred
- Proven track-record and experience in providing legal advice on a broad-range of matters
- Knowledge of applicable legal prescripts
- Proven knowledge of litigation and court procedure
- Regulatory compliance and corporate governance
- Policy drafting, application, and review
- Contract drafting, negotiation and review
- Employment/labour law knowledge
- Property law knowledge
- Contract law
- Manage litigation on behalf of ADA
- Provision of legal advice and opinions
- Interpretation and application of legislation affecting ADA
- Policy drafting and review
- Contract drafting and contract management
- Monitoring legal compliance
Suitable candidates will be selected with the intention of promoting representativity.
