Technician I, Wash

The Technician I, Wash plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and components to uphold product quality and operational efficiency. This position involves performing routine and specialized washing procedures on parts and machinery, adhering strictly to safety and quality standards. The technician will collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to support continuous manufacturing processes by preventing contamination and equipment downtime.

Attention to detail and consistency in following established protocols are essential to meet regulatory and company standards. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the smooth operation of manufacturing lines and the delivery of high-quality products to customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling cleaning equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial cleaning role.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or experience working with manufacturing machinery.
  • Certification in workplace safety or hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough washing and cleaning of manufacturing parts, tools, and equipment using designated cleaning agents and methods.
  • Inspect washed components to ensure they meet cleanliness and quality standards before returning them to production or storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including materials used and any issues encountered during the process.
