General Cardiology APP | Southern Maine – Inpatient & Outpatient Cardiology

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing General Cardiology team in Lewiston, Maine, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings in a collaborative, physician‑led environment.

• Full‑time position
• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and ongoing patient management
• Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow‑up visits
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists in developing and implementing treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitoring
• Educate patients on cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and medication management
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in shared call coverage as part of the cardiology service line
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current and unrestricted NP or PA certification
• Eligible for Maine state licensure
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Minimum two years Cardiology or internal medicine experience required
