Seeking an experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a growing Rheumatology service line in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive outpatient care for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in a collaborative specialty environment.
Position Highlights:- Provide outpatient rheumatology care for patients across the lifespan
- Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in collaboration with physicians
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic testing within scope of practice
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
- Provide patient education on chronic disease management and medication adherence
- Assist in prescribing medications and monitoring treatment response
- Collaborate closely with rheumatologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic health records
- Promote patient education and disease awareness initiatives
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
- Active and unrestricted Maine state license (or eligibility)
- BLS certification required and maintained
- Minimum 2 years of NP/PA experience required in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or specialty outpatient care
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Interest in autoimmune and chronic disease management strongly preferred
