Position: General Surgery Nurse Practitioner | Lewiston, Maine – Join a Growing Surgical Team

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a growing General Surgery team in Lewiston, Maine, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative surgical practice serving a large regional population.

Position Highlights:
  • Full-time employed opportunity
  • Join an established and expanding surgical services team
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Evaluate, assess, and manage surgical patients across the continuum of care
  • Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and ongoing clinical assessments
  • Assist with treatment planning, follow-up care, and patient education
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing within scope of practice
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Support patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital environment
  • Daytime schedule promoting work-life balance
Qualifications:
  • MSN with specialization as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Current or eligible Nurse Practitioner licensure in Maine
  • BLS certification required
  • Two years of Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, or a related clinical setting required
  • Experience with electronic health record systems preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills
