Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in a hospital-based LTC setting
• Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapy as appropriate
• Conduct wound care, geriatric assessments, and care plan implementation
• Monitor patient status, document changes, and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Apply dementia-informed communication techniques and address behaviors as part of care
• Collaborate with teammates and float to other units as needed to support staffing

Requirements

• Education:
  
  Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensure:
  Valid State of Maine RN license or compact state license
• Experience:
  
  1-3 years RN experience preferred
• Skills:
  
  Medical terminology preferred; strong teamwork and communication; ability to work within a care team; flexibility to cover 24/7 shifts and float to other units as needed
• Residency:
  Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
• Orientation:
  Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid
• Note:
