Job Summary

Join a passionate team focused on shaping the future of Ohio’s tree production. As a Grower Assistant
, you will support key aspects of nursery production including planting, culturing, irrigation, plant health, and inventory management. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and is eager to grow their horticultural skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, spacing, and tree placement
• Support and help guide production team members
• Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed
• Apply fertilizers and pest control treatments under supervision
• Prune and stake trees to support healthy growth and structure
• Help with tagging, inventory, and shipping preparations
• Maintain a clean, organized growing environment
• Record observations and report issues to the Lead Grower

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in nursery production or horticulture preferred
• Able to lift 50+ lbs., and work in all weather conditions
• Basic understanding of irrigation, fertilization, and pest management
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
