Food Service Associate (nomnom Southway | Part-Time)

Salary: $16.95–$20.50 per hour (includes $3.00 shift differential).

Provide friendly service to the local community and support retail and fuel operations within the nomnom convenience store.

• Operate cashier duties, accurately ring up customers and accept various forms of payment.
• Answer customer questions regarding food items.
• Prepare food and adhere to safe sanitary food handling practices.
• Replenish supplies, clear trash, and maintain clean surfaces.
• Receive and unload stock and perform general housekeeping.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure satisfaction.
• Obtain and maintain all required food and age-restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of hire.

• Assist with standard store operations such as lotto, alcohol and tobacco sales, cashiering, fuel attendant duties.
• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Work all assigned shifts, arriving on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Act as a positive team player and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Ability to stand or walk during entire shift.
• Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to read inventory levels and operate gas pumps.
• Ability to communicate information clearly.
• Follow safety procedures, respond to alarms and contact 911 for emergencies.
• Reach overhead, grip, wrist movement, and finger dexterity to restock, operate POS, and maintain store.
• Squat and kneel frequently for restocking.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds, lift up to 50 pounds when required.
• Climb a ladder to stock and retrieve materials.

• At least 16 years of age and legal U.S. work authorization.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales, food service, and cash handling preferred.
• Proficient in basic math.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work various shifts and arrive on time.
• Ability to use equipment, tools, and materials as required.
• Ability to perform essential duties under described conditions.

Part‑time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program, a 401(k) plan, and discounted company stock. They also receive 29 hours of vacation after one year, accruing thereafter bi‑weekly based on years of service.
