PT Security Guard, Weekend Swing Shift - CCI​/Speer

Job Overview

Our Lewiston location is looking for a regular part‑time Security Guard to provide basic plant security to protect employees, facilities, and plant assets. This position is approximately 24 hours per week and is eligible for CCI Speer benefits.

• Make foot and/or vehicle‑assisted rounds.
• Perform fire watch during rounds.
• Watch for theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Log all activity in a daily logbook.
• Follow Standard Works for Security Guard.
• Report leaking pipes, mechanical faults of machinery and equipment.
• Check doors, windows, gates to ensure they are closed and locked.
• Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents.
• Check badges of employees accessing the plant.
• Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees.
• Warn violators and document infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.
• Make periodic patrols of parking lots on foot or by vehicle and issue parking violations.
• Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios; escort employees and others off the plant.
• Use a fire extinguisher to remove small, incipient fires.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions.
• Must be trained in threat response within 90 days of employment.
• Must be certified in First Aid/CPR within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Must not be prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under the Gun Control Act or Safe Explosives Act.
• Must not meet the definition of a prohibited person under 19U.S.C.922(g).
• Successful candidates must complete and pass a post‑employment ATF background check and receive a clearance letter.

Employee work assignments may include tasks in or around potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Pay is $16.75–$18.04 per hour plus shift differential for weekend swing shift (Saturday and Sunday 6:00pm–6:00am). The hourly rate ranges from $16.26–$17.51, adjusted by experience, location, education, and skills.
