Building Facility Maintenance Foreman

LC State invites applications for the position of Building Facility Maintenance Foreman.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $20.19 - $22.42 per hour.

Required Qualifications:

* Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

* Some knowledge of: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance; heating and cooling system maintenance and repair.

* Experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair involving general building-related trades work; using and maintaining hand and power tools normally associated with carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.

* Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Microsoft Excel

* Experience working on a college campus or an apartment/rental complex

* Associate's degree in a related field

Responsibilities:

Work Environment:
This job works in the residence halls and rental houses on a college campus. There will be travel between buildings throughout the day in a work-provided vehicle. This position works closely with Lead Custodians, Residence Life Office staff, and Physical Plant staff, and communicates with each daily, and will also work independently throughout the day.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position involves driving and transporting materials and equipment to various campus locations, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders, and lifting and carrying items weighing approximately 75 pounds. The person in this position needs to be able to hear, speak, and read.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
