Repair company fleet to meet DOT standards and remain dependable on public highways. Perform preventive maintenance on company vehicles to minimize downtime and modify fleet as directed by management in line with company and manufacturer requirements.

• Perform scheduled service on all vehicles.
• Conduct inspections.
• Carry out major repairs to equipment, including engine, rear end, clutch, brake overhauls, transmission, and hydraulic system overhauls.
• Perform minor repairs such as cutting, welding, changing tires, and replacing lights.
• Repair electrical systems on vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Track all repair records and enter them into the SAP system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of three years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical abilities across fleet systems.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, cutting, and welding.
• Own personal tools.
• High competence in all truck/trailer systems.

• Vocational training preferred.
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑starter and self‑motivated.
• Good math and computer skills.

Work requires frequent exposure to high noise levels, strong odors, and heat/cold. Physical demands include handling and operating dangerous equipment, exposure to biohazardous conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical hazards.

The position involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and occasional travel to off‑site locations.

Vision requirements include color vision; no special vision requirements are necessary.
