Position Overview – Bringing Home the DoughAssists the Controller in all phases of finance and accounting activities to ensure that the plant financial statements accurately reflect operational results and financial position. Provides support and guidance to bakery and sales stakeholders on accounting practices. Must comply with SOX and internal audit requirements and interact with shared services, sales teams, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Assist with weekly income statement estimates and preparation.
- Prepare and enter journal vouchers.
- Maintain weekly corporate and local reports.
- Assist with period, quarter, and year‑end accounting closing.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare related quarterly and annual schedules.
- Support, back up, and cross‑train in company routes, distributor accounting, and accounts payable.
- Assist with monitoring, follow‑up, and collection of customer trade receivables.
- Assist in the annual financial planning process, including capital budgets.
- Assist with individual and quarterly product costing.
- Assist in the preparation of personal property tax and business license filings.
- Work with the Controller to ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements, including inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, sexual harassment, safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
- Execute other duties deemed integral by management, including adherence to work schedules and attendance policies.
- 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, internships included.
- Working knowledge of GAAP requirements.
- Experience with SAP ERP, Black Line, and SEC reporting requirements is a plus.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Business in Accounting required;
Finance considered.
Salary Range: $50,000–$65,000 per year.
