Compensation: $4,500–$7,000/month, depending on experience

Reports To: Operations Director / Campaign Manager

Position Type: Full-time, campaign staff position

Salary: $4,000–$7,000/month, commensurate with experience

Graham Platner is running for U.S. Senate to challenge a political establishment that has failed regular people. We’re building a campaign rooted in grassroots organizing, bold ideas, and a belief that working people deserve leaders who will fight for them.

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations & People Systems Manager to help build and maintain the systems that keep a fast-growing statewide campaign running smoothly.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role sits at the intersection of operations, budget, technology, and human resources. The Operations & People Systems Coordinator will help ensure campaign staff and volunteers have the tools, systems, training, and support they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, building systems, managing details, and helping people. They should be comfortable learning new technologies, troubleshooting issues, and supporting a growing team in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage campaign accounts, software licenses, and user access across campaign platforms.
  • Onboard and offboard staff from campaign systems.
  • Maintain documentation, guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants on technology needs.
  • Help manage campaign data security practices and access controls.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of campaign software systems.
Human Resources & Personnel
  • Coordinate staff onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain personnel records and organizational documents.
  • Assist with payroll, benefits administration, and compliance processes.
  • Support hiring logistics, including scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.
  • Track staff trainings, acknowledgments, and required paperwork.
  • Help maintain a positive and professional workplace culture.
  • Support implementation of campaign personnel policies and procedures.
Operations
  • Assist in campaign budget processes and tracking.
  • Build and improve organizational systems and workflows.
  • Track operational projects and deadlines.
  • Assist with internal communications and meeting logistics.
  • Help manage campaign equipment and inventory.
  • Support compliance with campaign policies and operational procedures.
  • Take ownership of special projects as needed.
Qualifications Required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the campaign’s mission and values.
Preferred
  • Experience in political campaigns, nonprofits, labor unions, or advocacy organizations.
  • Experience with budgets, HR, personnel administration, or recruiting.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing systems, processes, or operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with campaign or organizing environments.
