Seeking a full-time BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician to join a hospital-based team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care within a collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Position Highlights &Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide expert consultation for complex infections and antimicrobial stewardship programs
- Participate in hospital infection prevention and control initiatives
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care, and specialty teams to coordinate patient care
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts, policy development, and evidence-based clinical protocols
- Engage in patient, family, and staff education regarding infection prevention and emerging infectious diseases
- Participate in multidisciplinary committees and hospital-wide initiatives
