Position SummaryThe Medical Director of Acute Rehabilitation at Central Maine Medical Center provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the inpatient rehabilitation program. This physician leader ensures high-quality, patient-centered care while driving program growth, regulatory compliance, and superior functional outcomes in alignment with Prime Healthcare’s mission.
Clinical Schedule & Expectations- Medical Director will maintain an active clinical role within the Acute Rehabilitation Unit
- Expected to provide on-site clinical coverage approximately 3 weeks per month, unless on approved vacation
- One week per month designated for administrative responsibilities, program development, and leadership activities
- Participates in call coverage as required by the program
- Strong leadership and physician engagement skills
- Expertise in inpatient rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Data-driven approach to quality improvement and outcomes
- Ability to balance clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively
