Waldo County Technical Center (WCTC Region
7) is looking for Substitute Teachers for our career and technical education programs. Substitute Teachers are on-call positions and are generally contacted on short notice when a teacher is out. Experience in the trades is preferred but not required. Programs include Auto Collision, Auto Technology, Culinary, CNA, Carpentry, Welding, etc.
Requirements include a background check and CHRC (criminal history/fingerprinting) from the Maine Department of Education. Other qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and must be age 21 or older.
Responsibilities- Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
- Implement lesson plans and collaborate with school staff.
- Provide coverage for classes as assigned and adapt to on-call schedules.
- Background check and CHRC from the Maine Department of Education.
