A substitute teacher assists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This person follows and teaches lesson plans, aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed in accordance with the goals and objectives of the school.

Work hours & benefits:

Working as a substitute teacher allows you to have flexibility in your schedule. You are able to pick up assignments that are convenient for you, whether you want to work half days or a full five days! We have openings as substitute ed-techs, substitute 1:1 positions, building subs, and long-term opportunities. You also have the chance to participate in bonus opportunities and earn paid leave!

Substitute Ed-tech - $112.00/day

Substitute Teacher - $125.00/day

Building subs - Mandatory Monday through Friday at an assigned school. Daily rate of $175.00.

Long-term teaching - Mandatory Monday through Friday teaching assignment, for a minimum of 20 consecutive days. You will need to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a regular teacher, such as; grading, reporting, Parent-Teacher conferences, Workshops, etc. Daily rate of $220.00 (with a Bachelor's)-$225.00 (with a Master's).

Bonus opportunities - Working 12 or more assignments in a month will qualify you for a $100.00 bonus. (not eligible for long-term assignments)

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

* High School Diploma - Ed Tech 1

* 60 college credits - Ed Tech II

* 90 college credits - Ed Tech III

* CHRC/Fingerprinting or willing to apply for CHRC/Fingerprinting

Language Requirements:

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Physical Demands:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear. The employee will occasionally sit and walk, and reach with hands and arms.

* The employee must occasionally push and/or move up to 10 pounds such as a TV/DVD cart.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

* The employee continuously interacts with the public and other staff and occasionally meets multiple demands from several people.
