Grade 4 Teacher – Connors Elementary School
Position SummaryGrade 4 Elementary Teacher for Connors Elementary School (High‑Needs School). To create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with pupils, motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for elementary education, and build relationships with parents and staff.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $43,350.73 – $81,769.12 (SY25/26)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small‑group instruction adapting curriculum to each student.
- Communicate regularly with parents via newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
- Establish and maintain student behavior standards to create an effective learning atmosphere.
- Identify student needs, make referrals, and develop strategies for individual education plans with district specialists.
- Be available to students and parents for education‑related purposes.
- Plan and coordinate classroom ed. techs. and volunteers on field trips.
- Create an engaging environment with displays, interest centers, and exhibits of student work.
- Assess and evaluate student academic and social growth; maintain records and provide progress reports as requested.
Supervise classroom, students, and volunteers with assistance, advice, and support from administration.
Qualification RequirementsAbility to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be available.
Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree, valid teaching certificate.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulations; write reports, correspondence, procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions.
Mathematical SkillsProficiency with probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, applied to practical situations.
Reasoning AbilityProblem‑solving with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Other Skills & AbilitiesAptitude to apply current research and theory to instructional programs; plan and implement lessons aligned with school objectives and student needs; establish effective relationships with students, peers, parents; strong written and oral communication; knowledge of district requirements and Board policies.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, talking, hearing, walking, sitting; occasional pushing or lifting up to 25 lbs (books, AV carts). Direct responsibility for safety and well‑being of others. Requires close vision to read handwritten or typed material; ability to adjust focus. Must meet multiple demands from several stakeholders and interact with public and staff.
Work EnvironmentModerate to loud noise levels. Duties performed indoors and occasionally outdoors.
